SALES
Each year, the OJBA sponsors the Ohio Spring Classic Sale.
Offered are some of the most well-known, best-quality Jersey genetics in the state
- and across the country.
For five of the past seven years, the Ohio Spring
Classic has been the highest-averaging state sale reported in the
Jersey Journal.

This year, a record-high average for the
series was reached - $3,396.47 on 78 quality lots. The average surpassed
last year's record-high average by more than $620 and was boosted by the
sale of 14 head that sold for $5,000 or more. The sale was held on
May 28, 2007, at the Shelby County Fairgrounds, in Sidney.

Richman Farms, Inc., Lodi, for $8,700. "Alicia" is a daughter of Shamrock
Giller. She sold fresh in mid-March and due to Janes Primetime Justice-ET
in early February 2007.
She was consigned by Gordon Jersey Farm and
Amanda and Andrew Dragoo, Lynn, IN.
Selling for $8,200, the second high price of
the day, was a senior three-year-old consigned by Spahr Jersey Farm and
Topp View Farm, Findley. Purchasing 5TS Goldens Gigli, a daughter of
Golden Boy of Ferreira, was the partnership of Tanner May, Stetson Baird
and Austin Webster, Shelbyville, Ky.
"Gigli" was fresh in late February and gave 84
