Production Honors...

During the second half of the year, six members of the herd produced Honor Roll records: Schultz Kody Dalli-P (3,088CY m.e.), Fairway Morgan Kitty-ET (3,027CY m.e.), Schultz Futurity Janna (3,119CY m.e.), Schultz Hickie Ivanna (3,014CY m.e.), Schultz Paragon Peach (3,049CY m.e.) and Schultz
Rocket Harmnee-ET (3,113CY m.e.).

Three completed Hall of Fame records: Schultz Jace Abby (3,236 lbs. actual), H&B Rebel Geisa (3,448 lbs. actual) and Rocha Jace Mindy (3,095 lbs. actual).

Huffard Dairy Farms is ranked 6th in the nation for milk production among herds with 300 or more cows with a 2009 AJCA lactation average of 21,234M,
955F and 733P.

  • Huffard Dairy Farms is ranked in the top 100 herds in the country for Jersey Performance Index (JPI) with an average JPI of +41 on 444 cows and average Predicted Transmitting Abilities (PTAs) of +287M, +7F and +8P.

Appraisal Results...

After the December herd appraisal, Huffard Dairy Farms has three new Excellents, including Rocha Jace Mindy, Schultz Rocket Harmnee-ET and Schultz Mygent Chilli-P. Blackstone Stella was made Very Good-89% in her first lactation. The farm is now home to 49 Excellent and 259 Very Good cows, with an average appraisal of 82.3%.
