At Heartland Jerseys, we use breed-leading sires and an extensive embryo transfer program to develop and grow our best cow families. Top females are enrolled in the donor dam program and all recovered embryos transplanted in below average cows here on the farm.
We believe genotyping will help us advance our herd and the breed and have genotyped 16 animals in the herd to date.
Heartland Jerseys frequently consigns cows and heifers to leading sales, including the National Heifer Sale and The All American Jersey Sale, and makes them available for private treaty purchase as well.
We have a constant supply of breeding-age bulls for sale throughout the year, many from the cows included on our website. Our registered bulls are healthy and well grown and evaluated for breeding soundness before they leave the farm. If you need one bull or 10, give us a call or send us an email!

A granddaughter, Heartland Impuls Destiny, recently completed a Hall of Fame record (3rd quarter 2009) of 3,191 lbs. cheese in her second lactation.

"Dawson" has three daughters on the ground. Heartland Abe Dakota is one of our most promising young cows. She appraised VG-86% in her first lactation and is ranked #64 for JPI with a GJPI of +211. Heartland Militia Darian has also been genotyped and is the #3 daughter of "Militia" on the list of the Top 500 PA JPI Heifers with a GJPI of +184.
Her son, 1JE727 Heartland Militia Denzel-ET, is now available for sampling through Genex/CRI.
We have a contract pending genomic testing results with ABS Global for her son, Heartland Dale Dawson-1628-ET, born February 25, 2009.
