Den-Kel Jerseys ranks #16 in the nation for Jersey Performance Index (JPI) with an average JPI of +70 on 56 cows. Seventy-one percent of the milking cows have been genotyped. Seven of them rank among the top 1.5% for GJPI. CLICK HERE for details. More than half of the calves in the heifer pens are P-level 8 or 9.


Production Laurels

Den-Kel Jerseys ranks nationally for production. Among herds with 40-79 cows, we rank 6th for fat and protein with a 2015 lactation average of 21,300M, 1,085F and 821P.

As well, we are proud of DenKel Medalist Celato-ET, VG-84%, who made an Honor Roll Record for cheese yield (CY) production in the first quarter of 2016. The ME of her record is 27,821 - 1,258 - 1,030, with 3,442 CY.

Den-Kel Jerseys was appraised in May 2016. Den-Kel Jerseys is now home to 10 Excellent and 66 Very Good cows and has an average appraisal of 83%.
